The form of a boat can be defined in a drawing. But dimensions alone do not determine how wood becomes that form.
From establishing the hull geometry and shaping the timber to applying the layers and finishing the surfaces, we bring technology and craftsmanship together at every stage.
Digital precision provides control. The experienced hand makes the decisions the material demands.
Both serve the same purpose: to create a boat that reflects the intent of its design and the integrity of its construction.

Every piece of wood has its own grain, direction and character. At every stage of the build, experience matters just as much as precision.

The hull of ENIGMA-007 is built using the cold-moulding method.
Two diagonal layers of mahogany form the wooden hull structure. Each layer is 8 mm thick, creating a combined 8 + 8 mm construction.
The layers are bonded using WEST SYSTEM 105 Epoxy Resin with 206 Slow Hardener.
The bottom of the hull is reinforced with carbon, while the sides are reinforced with fibreglass. Above these composite reinforcement layers sits the visible outer surface of Honduras mahogany.
The mahogany pieces used for the outer layer are selected and matched for their grain character before being applied to the hull by hand.
The result brings structural requirements and the natural character of wood together within the same hull.
Every build begins with hull geometry. The design decisions establish the form that will guide the construction process.
The structure defining the hull geometry is prepared, creating the precise surface required for the layers that follow.
Mahogany layers are applied diagonally.
Reinforcements are applied to the relevant areas of the hull according to structural requirements.
Mahogany pieces are selected, prepared and applied to the hull by hand.
The hull is prepared for its final appearance through surface finishing that reveals the natural depth and grain character of the wood.
The character of a boat is defined by more than its overall form.
The line where layers meet, the continuity of the grain, the way an edge is shaped or a surface is finished — each is a small decision that contributes to the whole.
For us, craftsmanship is not a detail added at the end of production. It is the process itself, from the first piece of wood to the final surface.

At every stage, the objective remains the same: to achieve the precision required by the design while preserving the natural character of the material.
